Welcome to my blog! My name is Brooklyn and I’ll be using this eportfolio to document my journey in becoming a high school English & chemistry teacher. I’m from Indian Head, SK, where I resided and went to school from grade 5 until graduation. Awards and achievements of mine, which can be found in my resume attachment, include an entrance scholarship from U of R for graduating with an average over 95%, a scholarship from Federated Co-operatives, and maintaining an average over 90% for all of my high school years. I have many siblings, all but one being half brothers and sisters, and there are seven of us altogether. Although it sounds like a crazy amount of kids, we have never lived under the same roof altogether and two of my siblings are years older than myself!  
Now that I am currently in my first year of university, I live in Regina with a roommate and have been loving the experience of “adulting” as most would call it. I have come to enjoy the change between secondary and post secondary schooling although there is difference in workloads, as well as stress that comes with this. Some things to know about me would  be that I have always enjoyed being around kids- so much so that I’ve worked at a pool for three consecutive summers, as well as in my town daycare in grade twelve. I have also taken time out of my schedule over the last few years to work with grade 3’s and 4’s as an observer/ assistant for one of my favourite teachers from my elementary years, for both volunteer hours and my own enjoyment. As for any free time I have, I often spend it with my friends whether it be to stay in and play games or go out to have supper.  I hope you enjoy my site!
